Following the AGM held in December 2023, we are pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors, Kathryn (Katie) Klaber and Don Matthew. Katie and Don will be joining the incumbent board members Rick Mazur, Garry Mihaichuk (Chair), and Don Wilson in the governance and oversight of the company.
Kathryn (Katie) Klaber
Katie has served on RLG's Executive Advisory Council since 2019, providing valuable oil & gas industry insights in the US market. Katie brings to RLG a great deal of industry knowledge, US market expertise and a robust governance background. She currently serves as the Managing Partner of The Klaber Group, a strategic business, energy and environmental consulting practice as well as a non-executive Director of Diversified Energy Company. She also serves as Chair of the Board of several nonprofit organizations in western Pennsylvania.
Prior to founding the Klaber Group, she launched the Marcellus Shale Coalition, a prominent trade association within the US oil and gas sector, serving as its first CEO. Katie is a former board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Pittsburgh branch.
Katie holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and majored in environmental science at Bucknell University and resides in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
Don Matthew
Don has recently retired as an audit partner from KPMG LLP (Canada). At KPMG, Don was the National Sector Leader for KPMG Canada's Industrial Manufacturing Group and previously served as the Office Managing Partner at KPMG’s Edmonton office. Don’s worked with clients across many sectors, including construction, engineering, transportation and distribution, manufacturing, power generation and technology.
Don has extensive board experience, both in participating in board activities for his previous clients as their auditor and he has also served as a director or member on other boards, including the BC Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, the British Columbia Institute of Technology and the University of Alberta.
Don is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds ICD.D designation. He resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
